Welcome to AB Waste
AB Waste Disposal and Skip Hire have been
established since 1995. The two directors Geoff and John Adkins
have a wealth of experience having worked for a national skip
hire company for over 25 years combined.
The company began with only one lorry but
due to its reputation for being competitive, reliable and
friendly our growth was rapid. In the first few years of trading
we had invested in more lorries and skips as well as land
in Mansfield to house the skips.
Today, we have several trucks and a full
range of skips as well as a fully licensed transfer station
employing 18 people.
Our transfer station was the first purpose
built transfer station for skip waste in Mansfield. It was
built to comply with E. A. regulations and is inspected regularly
to ensure that all duty of care and waste regulations are
met. European legislation has asked that all skip hire companies
conform in the tipping of asbestos to one of five specialist
sites countrywide. AB Skip Hire will help you find a specialist.
AB Waste Disposal and Skip Hire have also
built our own garage to service and maintain our vehicles.
The lorries are checked regularly to comply with all legal
requirements as the safety of our drivers and the public are
very important to us. By carrying out our own maintenance
we can repair problems quickly causing minimum disruption
if any to our customers.
All our drivers are fully trained
and issued with health and safety manuals. They are aware
that when delivering and collecting skips public safety is
paramount. Our company also believes in respecting private
property so our drivers will treat your property with the
respect it deserves.
AB Skips hold several important contracts
including the local County Council and police force. We have
also worked in conjunction with the police and a local manufacturer
to trail the launch of new skip lights for skips left on the
road. The promotion followed a fatal accident and has proved
very successful. We now use them as standard ensuring public
safety by fully lighting and coning skips left on the road.
The good news is that they are vandal proof too.
All waste is recycled
and sorted in order to help in our environmental pledge.
